"Born and raised in Fall River where I reside today, I'm the proud grandmother of six beautiful grandchildren. They are my biggest fans & I am theirs. I am a self-taught artist who enjoys working with pastels, oils & acrylics. I especially love painting both domestic & wild animals, but also paint landscapes, seascapes, cartoon characters, portraits, etc. I currently teach drawing classes for children & teens for which I am truly grateful & proud. My greatest passions in life are children, animals and, of course, the arts. Commissions welcome!"
Jim Charette
A Fall River native, Jim Charette attended Bristol Community College in Fall River and Swain School of Design in New Bedford, Massachusetts. A multimedia and tattoo artist, he served as editorial cartoonist for the Herald News.
His current major project, The Jim Charette Sound Project, will be premiering "ID," an hour-long music video at Gallery II in Dayton, Ohio in January 2010. Also beginning in January 2010 is Radio Ether, a local cable access show.
Carol Chretien
Carol is a Massachusetts artist who paints to help animals in need. Painting in oils, she is a founding member of ArtHelpingAnimals.com. Her work has sold around the globe and a portion of her sales go to non-profit rescues from coast to coast.

Nancy Cote has illustrated more than two dozen books including When I Feel Angry by Cornelia Maude Spelman, and Mrs. Greenberg's Messy Hanukkah by Linda Glaser, both winners of the Oppenheim Toy Portfolio Gold Seal Award;The Can-Do Thanksgving by Marion Hess Pomeranc, a Society of School Librarians International Honor Book and an ABA “Pick of the List” book; The Borrowed Hanukkah Latkes by Linda Glaser, a Smithsonian Notable Book for Children, and the Florida Reading Association Children’s Book Award;Fireflies, Peach Pies & Lullabies by Virginia Kroll, a CBC-IRA Notable Children’s Trade Book; Mrs. Fickle's Pickles by Lori Reis, Parenting Magazine Best Book; and Jackson's Blanket, which she wrote and illustrated, listed by the Bank Street College of Education as one of the best children’s books of 2009.
She is also the author and illustrator of Palm Trees, It Feels Like Snow, It's All About Me! and Flip-Flops, an ABA “Pick of the Lists” book which received recognition from the Society of Illustrators and was included in the Original Art ’98 exhibit at the Society of Illustrators in New York City.
Her newest books include: The Leprechaun Who Lost His Rainbow, Which Shoes Would You Choose?and the just-released A Horse for Hanukkah.
Nancy teaches Children’s Book Illustration III at Rhode Island School of Design in Providence, RI, in the continuing education certificate program.

Heidi Thompson Dion
While earning a degree in illustration and design from the University of Massachusetts-Dartmouth, Heidi Thomson Dion focused on acrylics, etching, and mono-type printmaking. After college, she became a self-employed sculptor and product designer for several national giftware companies. A professional soloist at St. Mary's Cathedral, she sang in Rome and throughout Italy. Her time in Italy affected her use of color, and she describes her acrylic work as figurally realistic with impressionistic overtones and color. She accepts canine and equine portrait commissions and lives in Somerset, Massachusetts, with her husband, two children, and their two English Cocker Spaniels, who are shown in both confirmation and performance events.

Later, I received a Masters from Lesley University in Creative Arts and Learning. Privately, I have discovered decorative painting with M.J. Berry Co., Boston, Severin Haines landscapes and also Robert Cardinal of Provincetown. I am an artist in residence at the Fall River Art Association and hold a position in Kingston, Massachusetts, as the art teacher for 1,270 children."

Marjorie Jensen is a Tiverton, Rhode Island, artist who shares studio space with Denise Zompa and Phyllis Adams at The Paint Studio in Bristol, Rhode Island.
Marjorie recently returned from a painting trip to Italy with a group of nine artists. They stayed at L'Apparita, a magical villa in Tuscany that she pictured on her palette painting.

Lynn Litchfield is a graduate of University of Massachusetts, Dartmouth, where she majored in illustration and elementary art education. She works in mixed media, with an emphasis on calligraphy.
Lynn is co-owner of StefLynn Designs, where she collaborates with Stephanie Stroud designing and creating hand-made invitations and announcements for all occasions.

Georgette Macafee received her BFA from Rhode Island School of Design in Providence in 1962, and her MAED from the same institution in 1968. She studied in Italy for one year in the European Honors Program through RISD in 1961-62. After a career in advertising, she taught at University of Massachusetts, Dartmouth, retiring as Professor Emeritus in 1993. Georgette is presently a member of the Portsmouth Art Guild in Portsmouth, Rhode Island.

A life-long resident of Fall River, David R. Mello is the Supervisor of Children's Services for the Fall River Public Library. A 1983 graduate of Southeastern Massachusetts University, he studies illustration and design. His primary interest in art for the past several years has focused primarily on mask making.

Several years ago, Adrienne Michaud discovered that she enjoyed copying the Old Masters. It was when she retired from the business world that she began studying visual arts at Rhode Island School of Design in Providence, and watercolor at Bristol Community College in Fall River, Massachusetts. She took workshops with Donald Fitton, Marilyn Swift, Mel Stebin and David Barnes. She has also studied woodcarving with Sister Gertrude Gaudette.
