Highland

“1919 Class Picture, Highland Grammar School”

This photograph is particularly important as the names of all of the students are identified on the reverse of the mount.

Marion Jennings

Portrait miniature of Marion Jennings, later Mrs. Dwight Stowe Waring (1886 – 1973).

This beautifully rendered miniature on ivory was handpainted circa 1900 by an unidentified artist. A Fall River native and life-long resident, Marion was the daughter of well-known Fall River attorney Andrew Jackson Jennings, and his wife, née Marion G. Saunders.

Porter

History Of The Borden Murders by Edwin H. Porter.

Published in 1893, this original edition of the book remains one of the most rare on the Borden case, coveted by collectors. This example is one of two that were recently donated to the Society.

Premier

The Premier, January 1907, Volume XXIV – Number 4

Published by the Senior and Junior Classes of the B.M.C. Durfee High School, The Premier was a favorite with students. This example, in near mint condition, is one of a small cache of similarly-fine examples recently discovered in a Fall River attic by a friend of the original owner.

Thibodeau

1908 Catalogue for Thibodeau’s Commercial College, Fall River, Massachusetts.

A rare example of Fall River ephemera, this eighty-page catalogue has survived in remarkably good condition.
